David Haenel

David Haenel loves to talk traffic law.  He is not your run-of-the mill kind of volume ticket lawyer. He is passionate about what he does when he is in the courtroom. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 2001, David left the office of the state attorney, and began a practice limited to the defense of drivers charged with criminal and non-criminal citations. David is the former State of Florida 2004 DUI prosecutor of the year.   David graduated in the top third of his class from Widener Law School and then went on to obtain his LLM(Masters in Law) from the State University of New York School of Law at Buffalo. David has been in local newspapers, television stations, and CNN and AOL.com discussing traffic ticket issues, especially those dealing with 30 over traffic ticket speeding tickets and driving under the influence. David is a member of the Florida Traffic Court Rules Committee, previously serving as the vice-chair for the group. That committee helps to write the Rules of Florida Traffic Court which Judges use every day across the State.  David also lectures on radar/laser issues at the local police academy.
