Washington County

Washington County is located in the Florida panhandle. A small county with a population of just over 20,000. Washington County is another one of Florida’s 5 dry counties. This means that the purchase of alcohol is not allowed in the entire county. The three main law enforcement agencies for the county are the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol an Chipley Police Department. While the county is small, the law enforcement is very aggressive when it comes to enforcing the law of the county.

Last year over 6,000 moving violations where issued. The majority of these violations were due to unlawful speed.
