Escambia County is located in the westernmost tip of the state of Florida. The population of the county is estimated to be around 296,000. Pensacola is the county’s most populated aria as well as the county seat. The county is also home to the first United States Naval Air Station. The major law enforcement for the county is the City of Pensacola Police Department. Like most of the counties in Florida, the police department works side by side with the local sheriff’s office and the Florida Highway Patrol.
