AnneMarie Rizzo
Aggressive AnneMarie is how she is known. AnneMarie is one of the most passionate lawyers you will meet. AnneMarie Rizzo started off as a legal intern at the State Attorney’s officer in Alachua County during her final year of law school. The Prosecutor’s Office was so impressed by her ambitions and talent that she was responsible for over 100 criminal cases, working full time prior to graduation. AnneMarie even exercised her trial skills seeking favorable outcomes before graduation as well. This was only the start for AnneMarie. Upon graduation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law AnneMarie was immediately offered a position as an Assistant State Attorney. During her time working for the State AnneMarie was supervised interns, was invited to teach young lawyers on Jury Selection at statewide conferences, invited to speak at Continuing Education seminars for Doctors and the Department of Children and Families. AnneMarie was even selected by the Governor to prosecute a conflict DUI case in another county of which she sought and achieved a favorable outcome. AnneMarie continued to work as a Prosecutor in Alachua and Sarasota Counties until 2008 when she joined the law firm of Finebloom and Haenel as a Defense Lawyer.
During her career AnneMarie has litigated, tried and argued many cases successfully. She has established a reputation of being aggressive and determined to achieve her desired outcomes. AnneMarie is very active in the community serving as a board member for the Sarasota Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, member of the Sarasota Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, a member of the Sarasota Young Professionals Group, and Captain of the SoCo Sports Softball team where she has an opportunity for friendly “out of the courtroom” competition with the Prosecutors.
